As we get up for that third helping of turkey and pecan pie, one has to stop and think about the original Thanksgiving and ask the question everybody’s asked but never gotten a good answer for: what do you think Jerry Jones did at the first Thanksgiving?
Now, given, he couldn’t probably do a whole lot since he was in his late 80s when it happened, but, do you think he went out hunting for game or fishing for lobsters (which they really had at the first Thanksgiving)? Or did he stay closer to home and prepare the food for the feast? Do you think he was even aware of what was going on around him?
Nobody knows, least of all Jerry Jones himself. Which is unfortunate because now every year we have to watch him on Thanksgiving lording over a spread of bad football and worse behavior.
But at least it’s way more expensive now.
I digress. Football is on. Watch it. Fall asleep to it. You know it’s inevitable.
Enjoy the game and/or snooze, y’all.
As for me and mine, we shall be rooting for Bane to be under AT&T Stadium.
Happy Thanksgiving, and go Texans.
