Packers defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt suffered a brutal injury, as his leg was rolled on during a play. Wyatt remained on the turf for multiple minutes. After he could not walk off the field, the medical cart came out for him.
Wyatt appears to have suffered something really significant, but the Packers have yet to reveal exactly what happened. The hope for Green Bay would be that the star defender did not suffer anything season-ending.
Wyatt has been having a solid year, securing four sacks through nine games. He also has 23 total tackles through those nine games.
Whether it has been the arrival of Micah Parsons, Wyatt has been emerging as one of the best defenders for the Packers on the team’s defensive line. As stated, the hope for the team would be that he did not suffer anything that will keep him out for the remainder of the season.
It is never a good sign when the medical cart comes out to get a player, but Wyatt threw his hand in the air to let the crowd know that he was doing well. However, his face was grimaced, proving the injury he suffered could be something rather significant.
At the time of this writing, the Packers are leading the way 31-24. Should they finish the game, they will improve to 8-3-1 and be tied for first in the NFC North with the Chicago Bears.
