Manchester United will hope to get their season back on track when they visit Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.
The Red Devils followed up three consecutive Premier League victories with back-to-back draws in recent weeks, but fell to a shock 1-0 defeat at the hands of Everton on Monday.
Ruben Amorim’s side suffered defeat at Old Trafford despite the Toffees playing with ten men for much of the game, following Idrissa Gueye’s dismissal for striking teammate Michael Keane.
United now sit tenth in the top flight table after their defeat last time out, but off the pitch it appears that the Manchester giants are hoping to complete a shock deal to sign a La Liga superstar.
As reported by CaughtOffside, Man United have reached out to the representatives of Real Madrid forward Vinicius, who is said to be unsettled in the Spanish capital.
Vinicius, 25, joined Real from Brazilian side Santos as a teenager back in 2018 and has since enjoyed a meteoric rise, establishing himself as one of the best attacking players in Europe.

In total he has scored 111 goals and provided 89 assists in 340 games for the Spanish giants across all competitions, but the report suggests that the player’s relationship with new manager Xabi Alonso is far from perfect.
Vinicius’ current contract with the La Liga giants is set to run until the end of the 2026/27 season and, although the club are keen to agree a new deal, the report suggests that they could be prompted to consider selling the star if an agreement can’t be reached.
The report claims that it is currently unclear whether or not the Brazil international is demanding a significant pay rise in order to stay put in Madrid.
Manchester United are not alone in their admiration of Vinicius, though, with rivals Manchester City also said to be interested in the Brazilian.
