There was welcome news for the Seattle Seahawks’ banged-up linebacker position Wednesday.
Ernest Jones IV was listed as a full participant on the first injury report of the week ahead of Sunday’s home game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Jones was inactive for Sunday’s win at Tennessee due to a knee injury, leaving Seattle without its two primary linebackers. Tyrice Knight was also out of action with a concussion.
There’s good news with Knight, too, as he was not listed on Wednesday’s report.
The Seahawks had three players who did not practice due to injury Wednesday: running back George Holani (hamstring), outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu (ankle) and safety Ty Okada (oblique).
A number of Seahawks were given non-injury/resting designations: wide receivers Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp, outside linebacker DeMarcus Lawrence and defensive end Leonard Williams.
Running back Kenneth Walker III (glute) and guard Grey Zabel (knee) were both limited in practice, while wide receiver Cody White (abdomen) was a full participant.
Rookie defensive end Rylie Mills, a fifth-round pick out of Notre Dame working his way back from an ACL injury suffered while still in college, was limited in his first time out after being designated to return Wednesday from the non-football injury list.
