Former Adelaide 36er and NBA Sixth Man of the Year Montrezl Harrell has taken to social media once again, appearing to throw fresh shade at his former NBL club.
In response to a video titled “Everybody is your brother while they can use you,” Harrell expressed his frustration in cryptic post.
“Man, same goes into the world of sports!” he wrote.
“I went thru this last [season] with Adelaide!”
“A lot of fools’ gold, telling me, my kids and fam how much of a fam we are now! Lmao show fast.”

Known for speaking his mind, Harrell has never shied away from sharing his frustrations publicly, including after his time with the 36ers.
The club released him in September after doping allegations from his time in China emerged, and since then Harrell has repeatedly voiced his displeasure with how events unfolded.
Just last month, he also took to Instagram Live to criticise former teammate Kendric Davis, with whom he clashed throughout the 2024–25 NBL season.
Despite serving a three-month suspension handed down by CHINADA (China Anti-Doping Agency), Harrell has made it clear he still wants to return to the NBL.
With Adelaide almost certainly no longer an option, several teams around the league would still likely consider taking a chance on the former NBA standout. On the court, he delivers - averaging 20.7 points and 9.2 rebounds across 28 games for the 36ers.
The club declined to comment on Harrell’s latest post when contacted by Fox Sports Australia.
