Patriots have 6 players listed as non-participants on injury report

The New England Patriots and New York Giants were (presumably) watching football on Thursday, not practicing it before their Week 13 meeting.

So the official injury report was officially an approximation, not an actual description of what transpired.

The teams play each other on Monday Night Football this week. For New England, six players were officially listed as did-not-participate, or more accurately, would not have participated.

Offensive lineman Jared Wilson and special teams ace Brendan Schooler are both battling ankle injuries sustained in last week’s win over Cincinnati.

Harold Landry (knee), Morgan Moses (illness) and C.J. Dippre (back) weren’t ready to go, while Jahlani Tavai remains away from the team for personal reasons.

The reason Christian Barmore would have been a limited participant isn’t fully clear. His official reason was: “non-injury related-other.” Other would-have-been-limited participants for New England included: K’Lavon Chaisson (ankle), Hunter Henry (toe) and Khiyris Tonga (chest).

The Patriots are expected to return to practice on Friday.

The Giants listed rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart as a full participant. That signaled that he has cleared concussion protocol and is expected to start on Monday night.

Linebackers Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles and Kayvon Thibodeaux and defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence were projected as “did not participate.”

Cornerbacks Paulson Adebo (knee), Deonte Banks (hip) and Korie Blank (bicep), safety Tyler Nubin (neck), defensive lineman D.J. Davidson (knee) and receivers Wan’Dale Robinson (ankle) and Darius Slayton (hamstring) were also listed as limited.
