David Moyes has had the pleasure of working with some seriously talented players during his managerial career at Everton and elsewhere.
The 62-year-old is a firm member of the 1000 club, with well over 500 games managed during his two stints at Everton.
This time around, Moyes has been handed the backing of Everton’s latest owners, who put their money where their mouth is over the summer.
Moyes was delighted to sign Jack Grealish and the likes of Tyler Dibling in his first summer transfer window back on Merseyside.
More is going to be needed in January to really improve the squad depth as they prepare to lose their star man Iliman Ndiaye.
Looking back on his career, Moyes has shared the former Everton player who he would love to have back at the club.

David Moyes would love Wayne Rooney back at Everton
In recent months, Simon Jordan slammed Moyes for his handling of Rooney during his early days as a Premier League player.
The England legend burst onto the scene and was then quickly snapped up by Manchester United before he could really develop at Goodison Park.

In a Q&A session on Reddit, Moyes named Rooney as the former player which he would love to see playing in his current Everton side.
Is Troy Parrott the perfect January signing for Everton?
“I couldn’t give an answer for favourite player but, if I was to have one of my former players back in my team again, I think I would like Wayne Rooney to be playing with me again,” admitted the 62-year-old.
“I think because he was such a player at a young age. He wasn’t fully developed when we had him here at Everton right away, but he was just an incredible player for the other clubs he went on to play for.
“I also think his ability to score goals, his strength, his power, all the attributes you’d want in a good football player.”
Rooney was left so impressed with Everton’s win over Manchester United earlier this week, as his two former clubs battled it out at Old Trafford.
Although three points were taken back to Merseyside, how Everton fans would love to see a player like Rooney up top in this current side.
David Moyes sends clear message on his strikers
It is so clear why Moyes would love to have a player of Rooney’s quality playing in his side.
However, it does send a deeper message to how he currently feels about his two strikers, Thierno Barry and Beto.
Everton News understands that Everton want to sign another striker in January to bolster their quality up top.
There have been some improvements made by Barry in recent weeks despite his wait for his first goal still going on.
Duncan Ferguson has said Everton need to improve their striker options, with the Scot not holding much hope in Beto and Barry.
The Toffees certainly need a more reliable option in front of goal, but finding the another Rooney will prove almost impossible.
