Behind the scenes, meanwhile, senior Liverpool players aren’t doing enough to help dig the club out of this hole.
However, despite nine defeats in 12, it doesn’t appear as though Slot has lost the support of the dressing room just yet.
How Liverpool players feel about Arne Slot
Speaking on The Redmen TV podcast, journalist Paul Gorst has commented on the lack of leaks coming from the Liverpool players this season, suggesting Slot has maintained their support for the time being.
He said: “Yeah, I don’t think it’s a case of them downing tools and then deciding that Slot’s not the manager for them.

“We’ve seen Manchester United do that for years, haven’t we? And it always comes out when things are going wrong at United.
“The little leaks here and there from certain reporters that the dressing room is unhappy with the manager and the way it’s all going. But I don’t get the sense that that is happening at Liverpool.

What Liverpool players are saying about poor form
While there are no real leaks to speak of right now, several players have spoken out about the recent form.
Curtis Jones gave an interview after PSV in which he spoke truthfully about the Reds’ problems.
Meanwhile, after ducking media duties in midweek, Virgil van Dijk has now penned a message on social media.
He wrote: “We’re facing one of the toughest moments of our journey, but we refuse to let this define us.
“We will rise from this. I believe in this team with everything I have. Nothing has ever been handed to us, we’ve fought for everything, and this moment is no different.
“To the fans, keep supporting us. We all need each other more than ever!”
