Chelsea’s new striker Emanuel Emegha has been lighting up the pitch for Strasbourg ahead of his summer move.
Liam Rosenior is doing a fantastic job at Chelsea’s sister club this season, and Emegha’s contributions are a big reason.
Emegha impressed on his Dutch debut over the international break, and it was more of the same against one of Chelsea’s London rivals on Thursday night.
Strasbourg got the 2-1 win over Crystal Palace in the Conference League with Emegha on the scoresheet, leading Rosenior to laud his striker.

Liam Rosenior on the ‘amazing’ Emanuel Emegha
Palace have been one of the best sides in England over the last 12 months, and beating them is no easy feat.
Strasbourg managed to get it done, though, and much of the credit has to go to Emegha.
After the game, Rosenior spoke to TNT Sports about the performance.
He said: “He’s been fantastic for me. He’s still very young himself, he causes problems for defenders, with his running, his energy, his pressing.
“I’m very lucky. I have two amazing strikers, Panichelli came on and helped to see out the game. I’ve got some outstanding young players that are a delight to work with.”
Liam Rosenior thinks Andrey Santos will go to the very top
“Andrey is going to have a magnificent career.”

Chelsea’s recruitment seems to have hit the nail on the head once again with Emegha. He’s showing quality and consistency in front of goal already, and he’s still only 22.
Chelsea’s striker conundrum next summer
The Blues are showing an aptitude for identifying top-class strikers.
Joao Pedro and Liam Delap look more than capable of thriving at Stamford Bridge, though the latter needs more minutes before a final verdict is reached.
Then you have Nicolas Jackson out on loan at Bayern. He may well be back at Cobham come June. Add to that Dastan Satpayev and Emegha coming in, and it’s clear there’s a numbers issue.

We haven’t even touched on the Spaniard currently occupying third choice for Maresca. Marc Guiu looks most likely to be sacrificed, but he has been playing well when called upon.
Too much talent is a nice problem to have, but Chelsea will have some difficult calls to make when the season ends and six strikers sit in the squad.
If Emegha continues his current form, though, he can feel confident in his place in Maresca’s plans.
