Twelve weeks of the 2025 NFL season have been completed. Each week, we’ll monitor every team in the AFC South with an eye towards their ability to compete for the divisional crown. Here’s how the four teams stack up after twelve weeks of action.
4. Tennessee Titans (1-10)

Their last five games have been against the New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Chargers, Houston Texans, and Seattle Seahawks. They’ve kept the last three games to within one score. Ward has led the team in rushing in the last two games. Unlocking him as a runner has opened up the offense more and should continue. They’re not likely to win too many more games, but the most important thing is to continue to develop Ward and find out what brings out his best, and they’re doing so. Ward hasn’t thrown an interception in his last three games and has only lost one fumble, after having a stretch of six-straight games with an interception and losing five fumbles over his first seven games.

The Jaguars defense isn’t creating turnovers anywhere near the rate they were to start the season. Offensively, Trevor Lawrence is getting sacked as much or more in games than he was over the first quarter of the season combined. Lawrence has also become a weekly turnover machine. He now ranks among the top five quarterbacks in the most sacks and the top three in the most interceptions. The team has struggled to beat anyone except bad teams over their last six games and is trending downwards.
2. Houston Texans (6-5)

After starting 0-3, Houston has won six of their last eight games, with wins over the San Francisco 49ers, Jaguars, and Buffalo Bills. They also beat another team that’s currently in the playoff picture during that run against the Baltimore Ravens, although the Ravens were banged up and missing numerous quality players, including Lamar Jackson, when they met. Their latest win over the Bills on the national stage has the nation looking at them as a team on the rise, but they have to stay on the winning path as they head to Indy this week.
1. Indianapolis Colts (8-3)

Indy has lost two of their last three games and is 5-3 over their last eight. Of their five wins during that run, they secured four victories over teams with one, two, three, and four wins. They lost three of four road games during those eight games. To end the season, they’ll go on the road to face the Jaguars, Seahawks, and Texans. Their three home games aren’t easy either, with matchups against the Texans, 49ers, and Jags. This division could come down to the wire with Jacksonville, Houston, and Indy all still in play.
