Week 12 of the NFL regular season came to a close with 13 Maryland football alumni seeing the field.
Wide receiver D.J. Moore played a huge role in the Chicago Bears continuing their win streak. In a 31-28 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Moore caught five passes for 64 yards and two touchdowns.
It was his first two receiving touchdowns since Week 3 against the Dallas Cowboys back in September.
With the Bears’ win on Sunday, they advanced to 8-3 and sit atop the NFC North. Notably, the team has taken care of business at home, having lost only one game at Soldier Field in five contests.
Mooew is six catches away from 600 receptions in his eight NFL seasons. Additionally, with his performance against the Steelers, the former Terp passed 8,000 total yards receiving.
For the first time since 2020, the Bears have won at least eight games in a season. The last time they did so was with quarterback Mitch Trubisky five years ago.
Up next, the Bears hit the road and take on the Philadelphia Eagles as a part of the NFL’s Thanksgiving weekend primetime slate. The game will take place on Black Friday, Nov. 28.
