Man City, Arsenal And Chelsea All‘Preparing Formal Approaches’In January For£13M Rated Teenager–Report

Man City are among three Premier League clubs lining up January bids for Jagiellonia Bialystok winger Oskar Pietuszewski, according to reports.

TEAMtalk claims that Pep Guardiola’s side, Arsenal and Chelsea are all “preparing formal approaches” for the teenager.

City are believed to have sent their head of emerging talent to see Pietuszewski in action a couple of weeks ago.

Contact with the midfielder’s camp has also been made, with City and their Premier League rivals having held discussions with his representatives in recent days.

What do fans need to know about Pietuszewski?

The 17-year-old is usually deployed as a winger, although he can be used as a no.10 if needed.

Most of Pietuszewski’s game time at club level has come on the left wing since he broke into Jagiellonia’s first team at the back end of last season. He likes to cut in on to his stronger right foot.

At international level, the youngster has also impressed, scoring 4 times in just 6 caps for Poland’s Under-21s, having found the back of the net on his debut against North Macedonia back in September.

How much will Man City have to pay for the player?

TEAMtalk report that Jagiellonia have slapped a €15m (£13m) price tag on Pietuszewski. He has just over 18 months left on his contract, so they are willing to negotiate his potential departure but only on their terms.

Pietuszewski himself has yet to express a preference for which team he would like to join, but a lot will likely hinge on assurances about future playing opportunities.

City’s ability to send him out to one of their network of clubs on loan could prove attractive to the player, who will be keen to continue playing regularly after a breakout year.
