PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers got good news on their best offensive weapon ahead of their upcoming Week 13 matchup vs. the Buffalo Bills at Acrisure Stadium.
Wide receiver DK Metcalf returned to Steelers practice on Thanksgiving Day, with his left ankle taped up.
Metcalf didn't practice on Nov. 26, but was a full participant on Nov. 27, just three days ahead of the game vs. the Bills.
How DK Metcalf Suffered Injury
Metcalf sustained the ankle injury in the 31-28 Week 12 loss to the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.
Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph completed a four-yard pass to tight end Jonnu Smith with about five minutes left in the third quarter, who when getting tackled, spun and his left leg went right into the right leg of Metcalf.
Metcalf fell down and then Smith fell onto his left ankle and left the field with medical staff near him.

He returned to the game and finished with two catches for 12 yards and a six-yard touchdown catch.
Metcalf's Season with the Steelers
Metcalf has started all 11 games with the Steelers in 2025, making 42 catches on 70 targets for 573 yards, 13.6 yards per reception, and five touchdowns. He leads the Steelers in catches, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.
His best game of the season came in the Week 4 24-21 win over the Minnesota Vikings at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland. Metcalf finished with five catches for 126 yards and an 80-yard touchdown catch.
Metcalf also had four catches for 83 yards in the Week 1 34-32 road win over the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium, while also making four catches for 95 yards and a touchdown in the 23-9 home win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 6.
The Steelers landed Metcalf in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks for a 2025 NFL Draft second round pick, while both teams swapped fifth and sixth round picks. This came after Metcalf requested a trade ahead of the final year of his three-year, $72 million contract with the Seahawks.
Pittsburgh then made sure they kept Metcalf around, signing him to a five-year, $150 million extension on his contract.
Metcalf has had a decent season so far, but nothing spectacular, which is not boding well for a Steelers offense that has struggled at times throughout the month of Novemeber.
Thankfully for Metcalf, quarterback Aaron Rodgers also returned as a full participant in practice from a wrist injury, which puts him on track for starting against the Bills as well.
