The January transfer window is quickly creeping up on Everton, who are going to have another opportunity to bolster under the Friedkins.
Positive foundations were laid over the summer at Everton through additions like Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
A positive start to the campaign has cemented the notion that this season could turn into something really exciting for the Blues.
However, David Moyes will be all too aware that more signings are going to be needed in January.
Recent events may mean a midfielder will be needed, with Scott McTominay reported as an Everton target.
For the second week in a row, Moyes has now found himself talking publicly about his fellow Scotsman.

What David Moyes has now said about Scott McTominay at Everton
Just last week, Moyes admitted Everton would struggle to sign McTominay given the fees believed to be involved in any possible deal.
The Scotland international has been firing on all cylinders over the last year for both club and country.

During a Q&A session on Reddit, Moyes has addressed the former Manchester United midfielder once again.
“Let me tell you, I don’t want to ever think of any other goal other than James McFadden against France, it felt like the best goal,” said the 62-year-old.
How would you rate Everton’s 2025/26 season so far?
But the truth is Scott McTominay’s goal the other day was sensational. I think the way the night went for Scotland supporters, they’ll all be really looking forward to going to America and invading America.
“This will be the biggest invasion America’s had for years with Scotland supporters! We’re hoping to go over there and shock the rest of the world.”
It has recently been reported that Napoli will laugh away any approach made for McTominay over the coming months.
One thing that is clear is the admiration Moyes has for the 28-year-old, who has revived his career in Serie A in impressive fashion.
Everton need realistic January transfer targets
The January window is notoriously a difficult market for clubs to work out deals given the little time before it quickly closes.
Everton News understands that Everton will be looking for a new striker and full-back when the window does open for business.

The areas needed for Everton to improve are clear, but the short turnaround time in January will require the club to be sensible in their aspirations.
Moyes admitted not every need could be covered in the summer window due to just how many players Everton needed to sign.
A positive window for the Blues could lift expectations on Merseyside once again, with the Premier League table still extremely tight.
