4 Eagles who should be thankful they haven't been cut from Philly yet

During the Thanksgiving holiday, the Philadelphia Eagles have plenty to be thankful for after an 8-3 start, even if it hasn't been the smoothest ride to get there.

The Eagles can be thankful for a quarterback in Jalen Hurts who has only thrown one interception in 11 games this season. They can be grateful to be in a division that has arguably been the worst in the NFL.

With that being said, there are four players on the team who should just be thankful they have a job and didn't get cut at any point this season. These four players have done very little to help the team this season and may not be long for the roster after the season.

Jahan Dotson, WR

It feels like wasted space for Jahan Dotson to keep having a roster spot when he's only made two good plays this season. Dotson has 10 receptions for 194 yards and one touchdown in 11 games. The Eagles are holding on to hope, but it is puzzling why they won't cut their losses, save some money, and elevate Darius Cooper to that spot.

Matt Pryor, OL

Let's be honest, after the Los Angeles Rams game, Matt Pryor should have been gone from the team. While he is a long-time veteran, Pryor put together the worst offensive line performance of the year in a limited time on the field. If it hadn't been for Fred Johnson coming to the rescue in the second half, the Eagles might have lost that game, so it's a miracle he's still on the roster.

Jake Elliott, K

Sure, Jake Elliott hasn't been called on often this season, but there is still something off with his game. Last year, he was one of seven from 50+ yards out; this season, a slight improvement: three of five from that distance. In total for the year, Elliott is 11 of 14 on field goals. He used to be a pro at hitting from long distance, but hasn't been the same, which begs the question: why haven't the Eagles tried to find a replacement yet?

Ty Robinson, DT

The Eagles have been willing to play, and even start, Byron Young at defensive tackle, but Ty Robinson is inactive week after week. Robinson has played in just six games with one tackle and one pass deflection to show for it.

Surprisingly, he hasn't been cut just to go on the practice squad, as he hasn't been active since the bye week. All that potential Eagles fans saw in the preseason, with little playing time in 2025, the question should be: how did he survive the Howie Roseman roster gymnastics up to this point?
