Arne Slot faces a definitive make-or-break moment at the London Stadium this Sunday, with his tenure as Liverpool manager hanging by a thread.
The collapse of the reigning Premier League champions has been swift and brutal; sitting 12th in the table and trailing leaders Arsenal by 11 points, the Reds are in freefall.
The pressure has reached a boiling point following a humiliating week that saw a 3-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest compounded by a chaotic 4-1 Champions League loss to PSV Eindhoven.
With nine defeats in their last 12 games across all competitions, Slot has seemingly lost the defensive solidity that delivered the title just months ago.

Writing in his column for the Telegraph, the Liverpool legend has claimed that Slot has a week to save his job, with seven points needed in the next three Premier League fixtures to stabilize the situation:
“Arne Slot has a week to save his job. It is hard to believe that sentence is being written, but Liverpool’s next three games are against West Ham United, Sunderland and Leeds United,” he wrote.
“Anything fewer than seven points will make an already unacceptable situation untenable.”
“No matter how much goodwill the manager has, Liverpool Football Club cannot sustain the drop in standards witnessed over the past three months.”
“With respect to the upcoming opponents, he could not have picked a better sequence of games to win back trust and save himself.”
“But if it gets any worse and the manager cannot find the answers, the club will have no choice but to find someone else who can.”
