Will Liverpool get back to winning ways against the Hammers?

The Reds will have to wait their turn this weekend, with six Premier League matches taking place before theirs.

Liverpool’s fixture will be one of three to kick off at five past two, with the day’s earlier game impacting the time they can get under way.

Television rights cause Liverpool game to be put back

Liverpool have a decent record at West Ham, and they will be hoping the extra day’s rest can help them recover their best form in London.

Slot gave his team the day off on Friday, with Saturday reserved for travelling down to the capital.

As per BBC Sport, Liverpool are then being forced to wait until 2.05pm to play as a result of a scheduling change in the day’s early kick-off – Crystal Palace vs Manchester United.

Palace against United was initially selected by TNT Sports to be shown in their Saturday 12.30pm slot. However, the Eagles’ Europa Conference League clash with Strasbourg on Thursday meant the game had to be pushed back.

Already owning the rights to the match at Selhurst Park, TNT will instead show the game at 12pm on Sunday, with an early start in place to ensure the game is finished by the time the three later matches begin.

As a result of the changes, Liverpool will begin five minutes later than originally scheduled to avoid any overlap.

Liverpool are yet to win in their Adidas away kit this season

Are some kits simply cursed?

Liverpool aiming for first win in Adidas away kit

One of the knock-on effects of Liverpool being terrible this season is that the much-heralded new Adidas kits have become synonymous with defeat.

The Reds have barely won in their home kit, but the returns in the away and third kits have been even more miserable.

Liverpool did at least beat Burnley while wearing green in September, but they are yet to win in their two matches wearing the white away kit, losing both outings against Crystal Palace.

The Reds will try again in their change strip at the London Stadium on Sunday, with the hope that it can be the turning of a new leaf.

They’ll have to wait longer than originally planned to play this match, and the same could be said for winning in their new away kit this year.
