'Lying if I said I'm completely happy': David Moyes issues clear Everton request to Jack…

Everton look like a club reborn under The Friedkin Group and ambitious signings like Jack Grealish have certainly played their part this season.

Despite not playing much football at Manchester City in recent years, Grealish has hit the ground running at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

David Moyes will be hoping there are more big-name signings to be made over the coming months at Everton.

The 30-year-old winger has only signed on loan and it is believed that Everton will need further negotiations to sign Grealish permanently.

David Ornstein has claimed the £50m buy clause in the current agreement between Everton and Manchester City is viewed as too much.

However, the Everton boss has now admitted that he actually wants to see more from Grealish as the Blues near the halfway point in the season.

David Moyes wants more from Jack Grealish at Everton

Thomas Tuchel seemed delighted with Grealish’s display against Man United after the pair were spotted talking in the Old Trafford tunnel.

The 30-year-old is yet to receive a call-up this season from the German manager as his hopes of making the World Cup squad have taken a major hit.

Speaking to the media on Friday, Moyes admitted that he is still waiting to see more from Grealish despite a solid start at Everton.

“I would be lying if I said I’m completely happy,” Moyes said.

Plenty of interesting takeaways from David Moyes’ pre-Newcastle press conference…

“I want him to score more goals actually. I need him to come up with more goals. If he keeps doing the assists then it’s ok, but I think goals are the bigger thing over assists.

“I think we’ve been really pleased with him. He’s helped us with a huge contribution to the team. He’s probably played more games this year than he has in the last couple of years.”

Grealish has proven a significant commercial asset for Everton since he made the loan switch over the summer.

However, a permanent deal next year will require the finances to make sense for the Blues, and more goals will certainly help the winger’s case for a stay on Merseyside.

What Jack Grealish needs to improve at Everton

Clearly, Iliman Ndiaye has taken on the responsibility in front of goal, with Everton’s strikers failing to find the back of the net.

Grealish is excellent at drawing fouls against opposition players, but he has found it difficult to hit the back of the net consistently.

In his opening 11 appearances for the Blues, the 30-year-old has only been able to return one single goal.

He’s magic both on and off the pitch!

Jack Grealish’s incredible prediction proved to be spot on for Everton’s win over Man United…

Even Grealish’s father is urging him to shoot more often.

When Ndiaye soon departs for the Africa Cup of Nations, Grealish is going to have no other choice but to step it up a level.

Make no mistake, Moyes is still pleased with the addition of Grealish, but he knows there is still a lot more the winger could provide.
