Fabrizio Romano confirms superstar boost for Leeds United's rivals this week

Leeds United’s tough run of three Premier League giants in the space of a week sees them return to Elland Road against Chelsea after this weekend’s trip to Manchester City.

United’s form this season has taken an alarming turn for the worse at a very unfortunate point in the campaign. Having lost five of the last six, Daniel Farke’s side now face three of the Premier League’s biggest clubs in the space of a week.

Up first is Manchester City, before back-to-back Elland Road clashes under the lights against Chelsea and Liverpool.

After travelling to the Etihad, Leeds may fancy themselves to bloody a couple of noses higher up the table at Elland Road.

Chelsea are up first on Wednesday night, with Farke hoping to continue his spotless record against Enzo Maresca – collecting back-to-back wins against the Italian while he was in charge of Leicester City.

Should Farke last until that game, he faces a hugely boosted Chelsea side thanks to Cole Palmer’s recovery.

The Blues star recovered from a groin injury only to stub his toe at home and fracture a bone, leaving him a major doubt for their meeting with Arsenal, plus the journey up to West Yorkshire.

However, Fabrizio Romano has dropped an update on the England man, revealing he’s available to start against the Gunners this Sunday. As a result, he should be fit to face United next week:

Daniel Farke and Leeds United have huge task to halt star Premier League attacking power

Up first for Leeds is the unenviable task of trying to stop Erling Haaland from adding to his runaway Premier League goals tally.

It doesn’t get a whole lot easier against Chelsea, given the form they’re in at the moment. They just confidently dispatched of Barcelona at Stamford Bridge and will fancy themselves against Arsenal, especially if Palmer returns to the fold.

After that, it’s a home game Leeds surprisingly should be looking for a shock result in, against a hapless Liverpool. Arne Slot has a ridiculous embarrassment of riches, but is on a horrific losing streak that leaves Leeds surely looking to heap pressure on.

Despite Liverpool’s woeful form, they still boast so much attacking quality that could click at any point. Hopefully, we keep their misery going for another week.
