Arsenal signed Eberechi Eze in the summer, and so far he hasn’t disappointed.
Eze announced his arrival at the weekend with a North London derby hat-trick as Arsenal eased past Spurs.
The 27-year-old has been waiting for such a move for years, but when the time came to move on from Crystal Palace, there was but one destination on his mind.
Eze failed at his first attempt to break through at Arsenal in the youth setup, but made the big-money move as an established star. Chelsea could have a similar situation on their hands — with one of Eze’s teammates.

Chelsea can bring Myles Lewis-Skelly back into the fold
Earlier this month, it was revealed that Chelsea were making background checks on Myles Lewis-Skelly with a move in mind.
And only days ago, Chelsea stepped up their effort to sign the Arsenal star.
Lewis-Skelly has past links to Cobham.
As he revealed to GOAL: “I first joined the academy at Under-9s level, after I had trialled at Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur… Before I joined Arsenal, I knew Ethan Nwaneri because we were at Chelsea together and we’ve kind of gone up the ranks together.”
Like Eze at Arsenal, Lewis-Skelly didn’t make it on his first go at Chelsea, but the club would love to make amends.
Who is the greatest to play for both Chelsea and Arsenal?

Lewis-Skelly happy at Arsenal, but…
It wouldn’t be that out of the ordinary for an up-and-coming Arsenal left-back to switch allegiances, just ask Ashley Cole.
The talented teenager has no intentions of leaving Arsenal right now, but Chelsea’s interest doesn’t usually develop without cause. And when you look at the opportunities on the horizon at both clubs, there’s a clear better option.
Riccardo Calafiori has made the left-back position his at the Emirates. He has been a defensive juggernaut contributing to Arsenal’s impressive record.
What Marc Cucurella’s managers have said about him
“He has been phenomenal. Since I came to the club, his level has been high, not only his defending but also as part of our play with the ball.”
Enzo Maresca
“He’s a great professional, a really mature player…”
Luis de la Fuente
“He just came into the team at Brighton, he solved some problems for us in terms of balance on that left side, but his personality is infectious. He is a real good character around the team, he has got fantastic intensity.”
Graham Potter
Marc Cucurella is one of the best left-backs in Europe right now — with an argument for best — but at 27, he won’t be at this level forever. Calafiori, at 23, looks to be starting for Arteta for the foreseeable future.
Lewis-Skelly could be developed into a world-class midfielder, but the competition in midfield at Arsenal looks equally insurmountable. It feels like a long shot from a Chelsea point of view, but certainly not impossible.
