Ibrahima Konate has interest from several clubs around Europe, according to GIVEMESPORT senior reporter Fabrizio Romano.
The Liverpool defender is facing an uncertain future with his contract at Anfield set to expire at the end of the current season. Konate has been strongly linked with a move away from Anfield recently, with Real Madrid among the clubs interested.
It has now emerged, via The Athletic's David Ornstein, that the Spanish giants are no longer actively pursuing their interest in Konate, and they will not be signing him in 2026 either for a fee or on a free transfer, after informing Liverpool they have no interest in the player anymore.
It means that the French star's future is even less clear with his deal on Merseyside due to expire in just over six months' time.
Several Clubs Interested in Ibrahima Konate

Konate's future is set to dominate the back pages as his contract situation comes into sharper focus. Liverpool completed a deal to sign the defender from RB Leipzig in 2021 for a fee worth £36million.
With his contract ticking down, it seemed like the 26-year-old was gearing up for a straight-choice between Liverpool and Real Madrid, but that is no longer the case after Xabi Alonso's side pulled out of the running.
That said, interest in Konate is still very much present.
Writing in his latest GIVEMESPORT newsletter, Romano said: "There are several clubs interested in Europe but also a new deal proposal on the table from Liverpool. It's on Konaté to decide."
Konate Facing Critical Few Months

For the Liverpool defender it's going to be a crucial few weeks and months.
As well as his contract situation, Konate is enduring a torrid time on the pitch with his performances for Liverpool leaving a huge amount to be desired. The Reds have lost nine of their last 12 games with the French star culpable for several poor performances that have led fans to wonder if he's already checked out.
Regardless of his personal situation, Konate needs to get his head back in the game on the pitch and help his club out of the predicament that they're currently in. If he does that, then interest will inevitably follow from clubs who are interested in signing him.
Such uncertainty is far from ideal for Liverpool, who lost Trent Alexander-Arnold last term in similar circumstances. The key difference was that Alexander-Arnold remained fully committed and focused during his season at Anfield.
With Konate able to agree pre-contract terms from January 1st, the clock is ticking and for everyone's sake, it's a situation that will need resolving.
