Matchday 13 of the Premier League sees Eddie Howe's Newcastle travel down to Merseyside to take on Everton as they look to progress up the league table after a difficult start to their campaign.
The Toffees currently sit in 11th three places and three points above their upcoming opponents, off the back of a fantastic result against Manchester United on Monday evening.
They have had a couple of extra days to play around with in comparison to the Magpies, who were on Champions League duty in Marseille midweek, a game they ended up losing, doing no good for their confidence ahead of this one.
But there is cause for optimism for the visiting side, who downed Pep Guardiola'sManchester City**** last weekend at St. James Park. Away form will be the concern, however, as Newcastle remain winless in their six games away from Tyneside so far this season.
Team News:
Everton:
The Toffees will be without the services of Idrissa Gana Gueye after seeing red at Old Trafford for an altercation with teammate Michael Keane. It is a blow for Everton, who will now be without the midfielder for three domestic matches.
Seamus Coleman is set to be out of contention for a place in the squad after his return to Everton's first eleven was brought to an abrupt end at Old Trafford, the Irishman feeling an issue with his thigh.
This encounter also comes too early for Nathan Patterson, who continues to recover. An early December return has been targeted for the full-back.
Newcastle:
Yoane Wissa is nearing a return to football as he continues to work towards his first appearance for the Magpies having sustained an injury back in September on international duty.
He trained with the squad for the first time this week as it feels only a matter of time until he's ready to be utilised by Howe.
Sven Botman will have a late fitness test to determine if he will be available to face Everton as the Dutchman has been suffering from back issues in the last few days.
Predicted Lineups:
Everton:
Pickford; O'Brien, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko; Garner, Iroegbunam; Ndiaye, Dewsbury-Hall, Grealish; Barry
Newcastle:
Pope; Livramento, Thiaw, Schär, Hall; Guimaraes, Tonali, Joelinton; Murphy, Woltemade, Barnes
Key Players:
Everton - Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall:
Following on from a superb performance on Monday night where his strike made the difference at Old Trafford, Dewsbury-Hall will be looking to build on that performance against the Magpies.
Everton needs to be strong in the centre of the park if they want to take control of this encounter. This is certainly an aspect of the game that Dewsbury-Hall can help with.
If he replicates the work rate that he displayed on Monday night, then he is sure to give Newcastle plenty to think about at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Newcastle - Harvey Barnes
The Englishman is in some form at the moment, having scored four goals in his last three games in all competitions, including a particularly impressive brace against Manchester City last time out in the Premier League.
Harvey Barnes has provided Newcastle with a clinical edge in the past few games, and a goal against Everton would only solidify this. He also provides an area threat, which is required against a reasonably tall side.
