**David Moyes' return to Everton has seen a huge turnaround in fortunes for the Merseyside club, and they aren't going to make life easy for Newcastle United on Saturday.**
For the last few seasons, Everton have been fighting relegation, but since David Moyes returned to the blue half of Merseyside, he's managed to steady the ship, and the Toffees find themselves ahead of Newcastle in the Premier League ahead of Saturday's game.
That could be more of an indictment of Newcastle's season than praise of Everton's, but the fact remains. If Newcastle can pick up their first away win of the season and win by two or more goals, they would leapfrog Everton.
Eddie Howe has a mammoth task on his hands getting Newcastle up for this one after a deflating defeat on Tuesday that killed the mood following a superb win over Manchester City at the weekend.
Eddie Howe says Everton's wide players are a big concern
--------------------------------------------------------
Speaking to the media on Friday, Eddie Howe spoke of his admiration for David Moyes and highlighted where he feels Everton's biggest threat will come from.
> “He \[David Moyes\] is a manager I respect. Huge amount of respect for him and the way he handles himself.
>
> “He has done an unbelievable job at Everton, they are playing well too and have some dangerous players, especially in the wide areas.”
Which Jordan Pickford will we get on Saturday?
----------------------------------------------
Everton have a few areas where they can cause us problems, one of them would have been Idrissa Gueye, but thankfully, he decided to slap his own teammate round the chops last week and won't be involved on Saturday.
Jordan Pickford is always a wildcard. The Mackem goalkeeper could either turn on the style in his determination to get one over on Newcastle, or he could crumble like a wet cake; it all just depends on the day.
There's no doubt that we have the better side, and if we could forget all about the shocking away form, we'd be backing ourselves to win all day, but we can't, and also, we are still convinced that Howe is going to start Nick Pope, which is like giving Everton a one-goal head start.
