Keith Andrews says Brentford 'only focused on Burnley" ahead of matches against Arsenal and Tottenham

Keith Andrews says **Brentford**go into the match against Burnley"only focused on this fixture."

They were beaten 2-1 away at **Brighton**last time out, thanks to a winner from Jack Hinshelwood in the 84th minute.

Igor Thiago had the chance to salvage a point for the visitors, but his 94th-minute penalty was saved by Bart Verbruggen, this after Thiago had given the Bees the lead with a first-half penalty.

Their opponents, Burnley, sit second bottom with ten points and are on a three-game losing streak following the 2-0 defeat at home to Chelsea last Saturday lunchtime.

The Bees return to their happy-hunting ground at the Gtech Community Stadium, where they have seen four of their five wins so far this season. Like the hosts, Burnley have a terrible record away from home with a 3-2 win at Wolves, the only points they have picked up on the road so far.

Despite the defeat to Brighton, Brentford manager Keith Andrews insisted the Bees were in a good spot heading into Saturday’s match.

“All the focus is on Burnley”, claimed Andrews

“Every part of the preparation has gone into this performance and getting this game right.

“Physical preparations and the emotions of this game, and trying to ensure we get a really good home performance against a Burnley team that is fighting for their Premier League lives, and know what is at stake.

“The results haven’t always coincided with the performances. They’ve had very, very close games against top opposition.

“They [Burnley] are growing in confidence in the league. A lot of teams have had to wait until late to get a winner or a result against Burnley.

“[ Parker] is someone I respect a lot. He had a distinguished playing career, and his record as a manager, the promotions, the level he’s been at and the experience he has at the age he is, I have the utmost respect for the way he has set this team up.

“There’s been transfers in and outs to the one he had in the Championship so he’s had to tweak his style in order to fit the new players in. Played against him a few times when he was a young Charlton player, and there was a lot of hype around him.

"I thought he was a very good player, and you can see why he has gone into coaching and management because he was always an intelligent player with the way he knitted the game together.

“I really don’t like looking at the team we are playing later (Arsenal away on Wednesday), I think you must focus on your next match."
