Chelsea and Arsenal line up for 17-year-old as big birthday will allow transfer

Arsenal and Chelsea have Jagiellonia Białystok’s Oskar Pietuszewski on their agenda.

That’s according to Meczyki.pl, who cover Arsenal and Chelsea interest in the 17-year-old. The winger climbed through the ranks of the Polish club’s academy and made his way into their first team in 2024.

Pietuszewski has played 48 matches, scoring four goals and contributing three assists, of which three goals and two assists come from 25 matches from this season.

He’s also starred for Poland U21, managing four goals and two assists from six U21 European championship qualifiers. The youngster’s performances have seen several European clubs, including Arsenal and Chelsea, take notice.

Meczyki.pl journalist Tomasz Włodarczyk claims Arsenal have joined Chelsea and other clubs in the transfer tussle. He adds the player and his club will soon make a decision on his future.

“Chelsea and Anderlecht have already been mentioned. We could add Lille, Bologna, PSV, or Ajax. We’ve also heard of Arsenal, but there are many, many more interested parties in the winger’s talent,” he said.

“The question is who will get down to business and what decisions will be made by Jagiellonia and the player.”

Pietuszewski’s agent Mariusz Piekarski is said to have assured the club he’ll finish this season at Jagiellonia Białystok. The Polish football season runs until May 2026.

The teenager will turn 18 years of age next May. He’ll then be eligible to arrive in the UK. In other words, the agent’s plans favour the Premier League duo.

However, the journalist claims he could receive offers in the winter market.

“Will Pietuszewski stay until the end of the season? That’s the plan, but reality will ultimately dictate it,” Włodarczyk explained.

“In Podlasie, they expect the first concrete offers before the end of the year. The 17-year-old is being watched by all of Europe.”
