Arne Slot’s future in the Liverpool dugout continues to be a point of contention amid a historically bad run of results.
Slot is expected to remain in charge for the West Ham United fixture this weekend, but who knows what may happen if the Reds fall to defeat in that fixture.
Several names have been mooted to replace the Premier League-winning coach, including former player Xabi Alonso.

Oliver Glasner to Liverpool mooted
Glasner has excelled at Crystal Palace, securing the Eagles a rare piece of silverware in the FA Cup final versus Manchester City before beating the Reds in the 2025 Community Shield.
Now, talk in his home country has suggested the Palace boss could expect a call from Liverpool in the near future.
Speaking to Sky Sports Austria, journalist Marc Janko said: “Perhaps Oliver Glasner should turn on his phone. Because I imagine he may receive a call soon.”

Oliver Glasner record as Crystal Palace manager
They are competing in the Europa Conference League for the first time this term, and despite losing some key players, Glasner’s win/loss ratio as their head coach is impressive.
In 82 matches, he has picked up 40 wins, drawn 23 and lost on 19 occasions.
Palace are scoring an average of 1.70 goals per game under the Austrian, and conceding 1.11 per 90.
Even without now Arsenal man Eberechi Eze, they are fifth in the Premier League going into the latest round of games, and could end the weekend as high as second if results go their way.
Crucially, they have the second-best defensive record in the top-flight (nine conceded), shipping less than half of what Liverpool have under Slot this term (20).
