Dominik Szoboszlai has emerged as the latest Liverpool player to be linked with a potential switch to Real Madrid, with the Hungary international being advised to seriously weigh up a transfer to the Bernabeu.
The midfielder has made a strong impression since his arrival at Anfield and has been amongst Arne Slot's standout performers this campaign during what has proved a challenging spell for the Dutchman and the defending Premier League champions. His consistent displays, however, have caught the attention of clubs beyond Merseyside.
The 25-year-old is reportedly of 'serious interest' to Los Blancos, with Hungarian media suggesting he features 'high on Los Blancos' wish list' looking towards next summer.
Moreover, the versatile midfielder has been encouraged to entertain a switch to the Bernabeu should a substantial offer materialise from Spain, with former Premier League player Péter Halmosi telling Blikk that such an opportunity would prove impossible for his fellow countryman to reject.
"I don't think he should leave right away," he said. "Of course, who wouldn't want to play for Real Madrid? It would be a step up, but if there is no offer of this calibre, I don't think it should be considered.
"If Real wants him, that offer should be accepted, at least I would definitely do so. Not because of Liverpool's poor performance, but because Madrid is the highest level, that's the top."
"As for Liverpool's weakness, I don't think there is any drama yet, every big team has ups and downs. They can still get to one of the Champions League places."

Szoboszlai isn't the first Liverpool star to be rumored for a move to Real Madrid this season, with Ibrahima Konate also previously in the frame. The French defender's contract is set to expire next summer, and he'll be free to engage in talks with clubs across Europe from January.
Real Madrid seemed to be the most probable destination for Konate, but according to The Athletic, the Spanish heavyweights have clarified to Liverpool that the defender isn't on their wishlist.
The 26 year old has been in discussions about his future at Anfield, but as it stands, no agreement has been reached. Slot could soon find himself short of defensive options after the club's unsuccessful attempt to sign Marc Guehi in the summer.
Last season saw Trent Alexander-Arnold make the switch to Real Madrid as his contract was winding down. Liverpool managed to secure a fee when Xabi Alonso's team expressed interest in the full-back for the Club World Cup.
