One man within Arne Slot’s coaching set-up is being identified as the perfect candidate.
Liverpool’s tactics have come under question in recent weeks, as the problems staring them in the face are not being fixed.
Because of this, Liverpool have slumped to an unthinkable ninth loss in their last twelve games and see themselves sitting 12th in both the Premier League and Champions League tables.
Everything worked out for Arne Slot and his coaching staff last season, as they won the league in their first season at the club, etching themselves into Anfield folklore.
They now face the prospect of seeing their legacy unravel if this form continues over the next three games that you feel are the deal breakers.
West Ham United are up next, before games against Leeds United and Sunderland could decide Arne Slot’s fate.
Three games in six days, but if there is ever a time to dig deeper than ever, it’s now.
Despite Liverpool’s recent struggles, a member of Arne Slot’s coaching staff is attracting interest on the international stage.
In a Daily Mail article that predominantly focused on Liverpool’s horror week, squeezed in at the bottom is a fascinating snippet of information.
The Daily Mail reveals that Giovanni van Bronckhorst is attracting interest from the Indonesia FA to become their next manager.
“Giovanni van Bronckhorst is said to be a welcome voice on Slot’s team of lieutenants. The former Dutch midfielder is subject to interest from the Indonesia FA to take him as manager, but sources close to van Bronckhorst insist they have had no contact yet.”
It will be interesting to see how that story develops.
Van Bronckhorst was John Heitinga’s replacement, a man who was liked by the players of Liverpool and was part of Arne Slot’s team that helped him cruise to a Premier League trophy lift in May.
It seems, that for now at least, van Bronckhorst remains committed to his job at Liverpool, and he will need to rack his brains along with the other coaches to steer Arne Slot out of this situation that he finds himself in.
