Daniel Farke has decided make five changes to his Leeds United line-up, two enforced but with the left-hand flank also completely changed.
Gabriel Gudmundsson is dropped for James Justin, with Wilfried Gnonto played on the left wing, meaning Noah Okafor is benched. Ao Tanaka and Ilia Gruev come into the side too.
With Sean Longstaff out with a calf problem that could keep him sidelined for more than a month, and Anton Stach sitting out due to concussion protocol, Farke had been forced to shake up his midfield.
Captain Ethan Ampadu - a yellow card away from a one-match suspension - keeps his spot by de facto in a 4-3-3 formation. Jayden Bogle, Joe Rodon and Pascal Struijk continue at the back, definding Lucas Perri.
At the other end of the pitch, right winger Dan James occupies the opposite flank to Gnonto for his first start since August while Lukas Nmecha - top scorer for Leeds with three goals - keeps his place as the main striker.
Illan Meslier replaces Karl Darlow on the bench while Sam Byram makes the matchday squad for the first time since August.
Leeds United XI: Perri; Bogle, Rodon, Struijk, Gudmundsson; Tanaka, Ampadu, Gruev; James, Nmecha, Gnonto.
Subs: Meslier, Byram, Gudmundsson, Bijol, Harrison, Aaronson, Okafor, Calvert-Lewin.
