Dani Olmo was one of the stars for FC Barcelona as they secured a 3-1 comeback win over Deportivo Alaves at the Spotify Camp Nou today.
Having gone behind within a minute after kickoff, the Blaugrana fought their way back into the game. Lamine Yamal levelled things up for the team before Dani Olmo handed them the lead.
The Spanish playmaker then added a third goal late in the game to secure three points for his team and send them to the top of the La Liga table, at least temporarily.
Olmo delighted
Speaking to the media after the match, Olmo could not hide his delight at being able to play at the Spotify Camp Nou and contributing towards the team’s victory.
“I’m very happy with the two goals; it’s a dream come true to be able to play here, especially to score and help the team win,” said Olmo.
Talking about the team’s performance, the Spanish international admitted that Alaves’ early goal took them by surprise, but they stuck to their guns and came out on top.

“Alaves’ goal was a bit of a surprise, but the team handled the situation very well. We stuck to our game plan, I think we dominated, and in the end, we managed to win,” remarked Olmo.
The former RB Leipzig star also gave credit to goalkeeper Joan Garcia, who made some crucial stops to deny Alaves on the evening.
“They had their chances; they’re a team that takes the initiative and plays very well, but we also have Joan, who had a great game and always shows up when we need him,” stated the playmaker.
Concluding, the 27-year-old was happy about the fact that Barça had recovered key players like Raphinha and Pedri, which in turn made the team better.
“We’re happy to have as many players available as possible, delighted for Raphinha and Pedri, and eager to see more of them,” Olmo concluded.
