Doncaster Rovers chief Grant McCann described his side's win over Peterborough as the "complete performance".
A Jordan Gibson brace secured a 2-1 victory - their first in the league since early September. McCann was purring post-match about the quality of the two goals, in particular the opener thanks to an outside-of-the-boot assist from Luke Molyneux, and how his team did well to see out the win after Harry Leonard reduced the arrears just after half-time.
"I thought it was a complete performance from us today," said the Northern Irishman. "I thought the first half we suffocated them, didn't give them a chance to play. They're a possession-based team. Luke's teams have always been like that so we set our press up a little bit differently. The first two goals have come from that sort of press.
"The first goal is an outstanding goal. If that was Mo Salah for Liverpool tonight on Match of the Day, they'd be singing the praises for that pass from Luke Molyneux. That's the second time he's done that this season, and what a run from Gibbo.
"The second goal is a great example of the press. George picks it up and then again a great slide pass to Gibbo to finish. Then in the second half, they've scored and got back into the game, and we had to defend. To win any game of football, you have to show both sides to your game, and I felt we showed that for 90 minutes."
McCann was however upset at the fact his side were denied what he claimed was a "stone-wall" penalty for an incident involving Brandon Hanlan in the first half, after he went down in the box under pressure from Tom Lees. Nothing was given though. Incidentally, Rovers have not been awarded a penalty since the opening day of the season. McCann added: "The game should be dead. It's a stone-wall penalty on Brandon. Their guy has just ragged him to the floor, but we didn't get it. We don't get penalties, do we? There must be some sort of thing that the referees aren't allowed to give us any penalties!"
