Leeds United may not have come away with any points against Manchester City, but they can certainly be proud of their performance.
Daniel Farke was under big pressure heading into this afternoon’s clash with Manchester City after plenty of calls for the Leeds United manager to be sacked.
The calls were more than justified after a run of three games without a win in the Premier League, with relegation a distinct possibility.
And, whilst it’s now four, the performance against Manchester City was much improved in the second-half after heading in 2-0 down at half-time.
Goals from Lukas Nmecha and Dominic Calvert-Lewin made for an interesting end to the match, before Phil Foden scored in additional time.

Leeds United fans may have feared the worst when the half-time whistle went at 2-0, but Daniel Farke made a number of bold changes for the second-half.
Jaka Bijol and Dominic Calvert-Lewin came on for Willy Gnonto and Daniel James, which resulted in a change of formation as Leeds went to three at the back with two up front.

This caused Man City all kinds of problems in the second-half and even caught the eye of Manchester City winger Phil Foden, who spoke after bagging a brace.
Phil Foden gives Daniel Farke credit for his half-time switch🗣️
“It’s up there as one of the wildest games. We had full control in the first half. They changed their system in the second half and we couldn’t get going.”

Where does Daniel Farke stand now?
Well, the pressure is still firmly on Daniel Farke in what is now his fourth loss in a row as Leeds United boss, but there were plenty of positives to take.
Zero points may have been picked up at Manchester City, but it’s nice to see two strikers get on the scoresheet for the Whites.
Given the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool are coming up next, it’s perhaps not the best time for the 49ers to think about a managerial change.
Leeds currently find themselves inside the bottom three, but are joint on points with West Ham United.
