Wesley Fofana is starting to string together a run of games after missing time earlier in the campaign, and one Chelsea teammate has really impressed him.
Chelsea are a better side when Fofana is fit. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case for much of his time at Stamford Bridge.
Fofana feels as though he missed out at Chelsea last season, not involved in either of the Blues’ trophy wins.
He’s going well now, though, and is optimistic about the season ahead — even more so because of what he has seen from one young star at the beginning of his Chelsea journey.

Wesley Fofana sees no holes in Estevao Willian’s game
Estevao Willian is the new superstar at Chelsea.
With Cole Palmer out, the spotlight has been firmly on the 18-year-old, and he hasn’t disappointed.
Enzo Maresca is managing his integration carefully, and we haven’t seen as much of the Brazilian as we would like. Fofana has, though, and he is seriously impressed.
Sitting down with Stadium Astro for an interview, Fofana remarks: “He can do everything. He can dribble, he can score, he can pass, he can do everything. And he’s very young, but yeah, he’s amazing.
“He has amazing talent and uh, he showed the world yesterday the quality, but he can show more.”
Fofana is of course referring to Estevao’s starring performance against Barcelona, and that goal that has been replayed a million times in the days since.

Fofana echoes Maresca’s Estevao stance
Estevao is a world-class prospect, for sure. And that might not even be doing him justice.
But Fofana also sees the importance in not rushing it with Estevao, as he says: “We don’t want to put him under too much pressure because he’s very young.
“He just come from Brazil, and yeah, we need to protect him give him some time and yeah just protect him and help him to improve a lot. This is the job of the team.”

Chelsea’s new sensation already looks more than capable of starting every game for Chelsea, but Maresca’s concerns are understandable.
That being said, Estevao has to be in Chelsea’s starting XI against Arsenal. These are the games where star quality can make all the difference.
