With the San Antonio Spurs off to a stellar start, they may look to be active around the trade deadline to bolster their roster. Trade season unofficially starts on December 15, 2025, when teams are able to trade players who were signed to contracts this past summer.
That means that in just a couple of weeks, teams will likely begin scouring the trade market and making calls to see who's available. The Spurs should be one of those teams.

Those four players could technically be traded, though the odds of them being moved seem unlikely. Kornet is the most untradeable of those four players, with him emerging as a key player for the Spurs this season.
He has even been tasked with starting in place of the injured Victor Wembanyama and has done an admirable job as the team awaits the return of their superstar.
Biyombo is on the team as a good vibes guy, who is there more for his locker room presence than his on-court play. Waters III has played sparingly but fits a small role as an off-the-bench shooter who can come in, play a few minutes, and hit a couple of threes.
Lastly, McLaughlin was brought in to be a third-string point guard but has been injured for much of the season. Even when the Spurs were down to just one point guard. None of those players are likely to be traded, though if they were to make a move, Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell would be most likely to be moved.
