Giannis Antetokounmpo reaches historic NBA club amid Bucks-Nets

The Milwaukee Bucks finally got back to their winning ways on Saturday. Afterlosing seven games in a row, Giannis Antetokounmpo and company snapped their skid with a dominant 116-99 victory over thevisiting Brooklyn Nets at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.

Of course, Antetokounmpo played a big role in that win, as the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player led the way for Milwaukee with 29 points while making 12 of his 15 attempts from the field. He added eight rebounds, two assists and two steals, doing them all in just 19 minutes of action versus the seemingly overmatched Nets.

In addition to the win, Antetokounmpo can also remember the game for a historic milestone he had just achieved.

As noted by the Bucks on social media, the nine-time NBA All-Star became the sixth-youngest player ever in the history of the league to score at least 21,000 points.

The other players younger than Antetokounmpo to get that many points in the NBA are LeBron James, Wilt Chamberlain, Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan.

Antetokounmpo’s latest accomplishment also came just less than a week before he turns 31 years old this coming Dec. 6. He could have also reached the 21,000-point plateau earlier had it not been for a groin injury that recently sidelined him for four games.

In any case, Antetokounmpo just added to his incredible resume that has long been enough for him to one day get inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame.
