Liverpool FC team news vs. West Ham – Injuries, suspensions & available squad

Liverpool are still missing a handful of players for their trip to West Ham, but could be buoyed by the return of two figures for the important league clash.

Arne Slot needs all the assistance he can muster to arrest Liverpool’s downward spiral, and he could see two players return to his matchday squad for the trip to London.

Here is who might be or is not available for Sunday’s 2.05pm kickoff:

Slot talked to reporters a day earlier than usual and thus things might have changed after the team reported for training on Saturday, but here’s what we know.

Alisson missed the midweek defeat due to illness but he trained with the team on Thursday and Slot “hopes and expects him to be available at the weekend.”

Ekitike, meanwhile, was subbed off at Anfield due to a black complaint, and although Slot maintained it “should not have to be a big issue,” he is doubtful as “games come fast.”

A place on the bench is expected to be the best-case scenario with Alexander Isak subsequently restored to the starting lineup after a cameo in midweek.

Wirtz, on the other hand, had to be cleared on Friday to train on Saturday and be in the reckoning for selection. If he got through training unscathed, a place on the bench is likely.

Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley remain sidelined with respective muscle injuries, leaving Slot to find a solution at right-back once again.

Joe Gomez ought to be in the reckoning, but Curtis Jones and Dominik Szoboszlai have taken on the responsibility in the last two matches.

Calvin Ramsay will not be involved having played 75 minutes for the U21s on Saturday.
