Everton fans were left absolutely stunned with a truly dismal showing against Newcastle United on Saturday evening.
Just days on from their incredible victory against Manchester United, Everton were brought crashing back to reality.
David Moyes will have been shellshocked watching that all unfold in front of him after a huge result earlier in the week.
It was a result that has highlighted a lot of issues for the Blues heading into what is now set to be a daunting run of festive fixtures.
Everton fans gave Anthony Gordon an unpleasant reception on his return to Merseyside.
For a number of fans, there was an unexpected message left on their seats in a clear warning from the club ahead of the game against the Magpies.

Some Everton fans receive clear warning from club
The Hill Dickinson Stadium has been a huge positive for the club since it was opened earlier in the year.
Everton are set to host a number of international tournaments over the coming years at their new state-of-the-art home.

However, there were a number of fans who took to their seat on Saturday and found a clear warning about their language from the club.

‘We have received complaints about the use of persistent discriminatory language in this area,” read the note.
“Please work with us to make Goodison Park [Hill Dickinson Stadium] safe and enjoyable for all.”
The performance on display against the Toon certainly will not have gone down with the fans in the stands.
Moyes has admitted expectations from Everton fans have grown in recent months, but this performance certainly brought the club back down to earth.
Everton must bounce back against Bournemouth
Unfortunately, the defeat to Newcastle highlighted the lack of squad depth, with Idrissa Gana Gueye’s absence felt massively.
You can only pick one…
Moyes spoke about targeting European qualification earlier in the season, but that now feels light years away.
Had Everton built on their win over Manchester United then they could have ended the day in the European spots.
But now they find themselves looking over their shoulder with some seriously tricky fixtures to follow.
The 62-year-old manager is going to find out a lot about his players over the coming weeks.
