Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim will be looking for a reaction on Sunday when his team travel to Crystal Palace in the Premier League. The fixture is a difficult one after such a disappointing result against Everton on Monday evening.

However, United have an advantage given Oliver Glasner's side played on Thursday night at Strasbourg in the Conference League with a host of first-team players featuring in the 2-1 defeat. While the Reds also enter the game on the back of a defeat, they will have had six days to prepare.

United will be without Benjamin Sesko. His knee injury suffered in the draw at Tottenham Hotspur is a few weeks away from healing. The Slovenian could be back by the time Bryan Mbeumo and Amad leave for AFCON.

As for the other team news, Amorim confirmed Matheus Cunha will be expected back for the fixture against West Ham but the trip to Palace is a game too soon for him. Harry Maguire also remains absent. So with this in mind, take a look at how our United writers think the Reds should line-up vs Palace.

The absence of Maguire and Cunha is a blow, but Palace were in action in France on Thursday night and there is no excuse for the United players not to produce a response to the Everton defeat.

Amorim said he senses "anxiety" from Dorgu when he picks up the ball. The options at left wing-back are not ideal, but I would recall Dalot to the side at Selhurst Park.

The injury news opens the door for Mainoo to make his first Premier League start of the season with Fernandes in the false nine role. Zirkzee is not good enough to lead the attack for United in the league.

United experimented with Zirkzee as the centre-forward against Everton. They should not replicate that at Palace - it did not work.

Mbeumo has experience playing as a centre-forward so starting him as the false nine could work well for the Reds. Amad can play at right wing-back and pushing Bruno Fernandes into the No.10 role alongside Mason Mount is the best option. THat would open the door for Mainoo to make his first Premier League start of the season partnering Casemiro in the middle.
