In the league, Liverpool is looking to end a run of 3-0 defeats, having lost to Manchester City and Nottingham Forest by that scoreline. But Slot cut a relaxed figure in his pre-match press conference on Thursday.
"We've had the same conversations as we've had since I'm here," he said of chats with sporting director Richard Hughes.
"I'm not sure if I said it [on Wednesday], but we fight on. We try to improve, that's what we all try, but the conversations have been the same as they've been for the past one-and-a-half years."
