Arne Slot is clearly trying his best to get Liverpool out of this rut.
The Reds have been in abysmal form that has seen many fans start to question Slot’s job, with nine losses in their last 12 simply not good enough.
This also means that their game against West Ham is more important than ever, with a heavy defeat, or even just failure to win, perhaps costing him his job.

He is not going down without a fight, though, and he has decided to try something new for this one, praying that it actually works.
It looks to be a different system to what was expected, with this meaning Dominik Szoboszlai has been asked to play in yet another position.

Dominik Szoboszlai is playing on the right for Liverpool
Slot made the bold choice to drop Mohamed Salah for this game, with this something many had been calling for over the last few weeks.
This saw Florian Wirtz come into the team, with it looking like he would start on the right instead, but this has not been the case.

Instead, Clinton Morrison spotted that it is actually Szoboszlai on the right instead, giving Wirtz a much more free role in which he will hopefully thrive in.
“Looking at Liverpool, they’ve set up differently,” he said as per BBC Sport.
“I think Szoboszlai is coming from the right and Wirtz is in that 10 role with Gakpo on the left. That’s how it looks at the moment.”

So far, things do look a little more fluid in the attacking third, but as of yet, they have nothing to show for it.
Florian Wirtz has started well
Wirtz has always been a number 10, he just has not always played here since joining Liverpool in the summer.
However, this is where he is at his best when he has confidence, and against West Ham, he has started the game well.
The freedom to express himself is something he relishes and he has shown flashes of brilliance on the ball, with some of his passes out of this world.
Chance creation is something Liverpool need and it is certainly something he has been providing, he just needs someone like Alexander Isak to turn one of them home.
