Mikel Arteta makes three changes from Wednesday night: Saliba is injured and is replaced by Hincapié as is Trossard so Martinelli comes in while Calafiori resumes as the regular Premier League left-back, nudging Lewis-Skelly back on to the bench where hge is joined in happier news by Gabriel Jesus and Viktor Gyokeres.

Good afternoon and welcome to live coverage of Chelsea vs Arsenal from the Premier League which kicks off with the visitors top and hoping a win can stretch their lead over Manchester City back to seven points and Chelsea striving for a first home victory over the Gunners since 2018 which would take them up to second, merely three points off the leaders.

Having been dismissed by Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich as a set-piece team who are inferior to PSG, Arteta will be smiling if his side scores from one of Declan Rice’s deliveries again today. “I think the game they played against PSG was very similar when everything becomes man-to-man and the way they are with the full-backs, the way we did what we did in terms of rotation, they create a game that is a very low sequences of passes, so I know what he’s saying, so that’s fine,” Arteta said. “It’s part of the game.”
