Chelsea fans were buoyed before their Premier League clash against Arsenal by the return of Cole Palmer to the matchday squad.
Palmer was named on the bench after returning to training in the week, with him not featuring since September when he was forced off against Manchester United.
Enzo Maresca named Estevao Willian, Pedro Neto and Joao Pedro in attack to face Arsenal, who were without starting centre-backs William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes both absent due to injury.
Palmer is part of a very strong bench for the home side. Alejandro Garnacho, Liam Delap and Jamie Gittens are amongst the options who can also come on and make an impact.

Cole Palmer’s return could be final nail in coffin for Tyrique George
This means there was no place in the side at all for Tyrique George, and with injury woes clearing up in attack there is a realisation that his time at the club could be coming to an end.
The Cobham graduate has three goals to his name in all competitions this season, but has not been able to nail down a regular place as a starter since breaking through to the first team over a year ago.
With the Blues never afraid to cash in on a player to come through their academy, a move away in January is looking probable rather than possible.

Plenty of interest in Tyrique George
After making an impression in his first team appearances, there is no shortage of sides who are keen on a potential deal for him.
George is on a ‘long list’ of club’s radars, with him certainly having the capabilities to feature regularly for a number of Premier League sides.
Chelsea were close to striking a deal for George to move to Fulham on deadline day of the summer window, however it fell through after the window closed.
