Milwaukee Bucks: Giannis Antetokounmpo gets highest praise from teammate Kevin Porter Jr amid…

The Milwaukee Bucks have not had a very successful season so far. That being said, they ended a seven-game losing streak by handily blowing out the lowly Brooklyn Nets 116-99 on Saturday night. The win improved Milwaukee’s record to 9-12 on the season, and gave fans hope that now that Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Porter Jr. are both back and healthy, they can start to turn the 2025-26 campaign around.

So dominant were the Bucks on both sides of the court that Giannis, playing in his second game back after missing a couple of weeks with a groin injury, only played 19 minutes.

Despite the short amount of playing time he received, the Greek Freak poured in 29 points to go along with eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Among those points scored was Giannis’ 21,000th career point, making him the sixth-youngest player ever to reach that milestone.

There is no question that Giannis is the greatest player ever to suit up for the Bucks. Game in and game out, he seems to make some kind of NBA history or joins a prestigious list of players on one list or another.

And that greatness is not lost on his teammates. After the game Saturday, Porter Jr. said the following:

“That’s a legend. Legend walking, man.”

“It’s been a blessing, man. I’ve always wanted to play with someone like [Giannis]. And we have a chance because he is on here. So, that’s Giannis for you. That’s a legend, a legend walking.”

Giannis, of course, is only 30 years old and is playing the best basketball of his career. If he is able to stay relatively healthy, there is no doubt that he will topple many NBA records before it is all said and done.
