Arne Slot showed his ruthless side against West Ham, and it worked.
The Reds have been in a terrible run of form that saw them lose nine of their last 12 games, but they finally got a win on the board after they edged past the Hammers.
The Dutchman was under a bit of pressure heading into this one, so this will have taken that off a little bit, especially as he made some changes that worked.

There was one in particular that paid off, but it did mean that he had to do something that he has never done before as Liverpool manager.
It was certainly a bold call that will upset one star in particular, but it is hard to argue against it being the right choice.
Mohamed Salah was an unused substitute for the first time under Arne Slot
Something has been needing to change as performances have simply not been good enough, and one of the calls many were making was to drop Mohamed Salah.
The Egyptian has not been himself this season and has just four league goals to his name, which is why fans were starting to suggest he needs a spell out of the team.

This is exactly what Slot did, starting Dominik Szoboszlai on the right instead and allowing Florian Wirtz to play as the number 10.
But, for the first time under the Dutchman, Salah did not get on the pitch at all, with the 33-year-old remaining firmly on the bench.
The winger would not have liked this one bit, with it looking like he is no longer untouchable or the star man of the team.

What impact this could have long term is yet to be seen, but it is not a good sign for Salah as he enters the twilight of his Liverpool career.
Arne Slot justifies leaving Mohamed Salah on the bench
One of the reasons he would not have wanted to bring Salah on is due to how well Szoboszlai was playing yet again, with the Hungarian one of their best players in the game.
However, as we approach December, the festive period will be packed with fixtures, with Slot explaining that this is another reason why he was rested.
“In 10 days we played four and these players are such quality players,” he said as per BBC Sport after the game.
“Mo has been so important for the club and will be so important for the club so let’s see what happens on Wednesday [against Sunderland].”
