Liverpool secured a very important victory over West Ham United to end a barren run of three consecutive defeats by a three-goal margin. Goals from Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo saw Arne Slot's side leave London Stadium with all three points and move up to eighth in the Premier League table.
Manchester City, Nottingham Forest and PSV had all beaten the champions in November but the month has concluded with a positive result. Unexpected away victories from Brighton and Manchester United have prevented Liverpool from breaking into the top six.
However, that will be the first target over the next seven days with favourable fixtures against Sunderland and Leeds United on the horizon. As they are firmly out of the title race, Liverpool will be looking to better the points tallies of Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester United throughout December.

With all of that being said, The Echo has taken a closer look at the games awaiting all four teams over the busy Christmas and New Year schedule.
Liverpool's next five fixtures
Sunderland (H) - Wednesday, December 3
Leeds United (A) - Saturday, December 6
Brighton (H) - Saturday, December 13
Tottenham (A) - Saturday, December 20
Wolves (H) - Saturday, December 27
Verdict: Despite their recent form, Liverpool will be looking to claim maximum points from their next five matches. Newly-promoted Leeds and Sunderland take on Slot's side next week where six points should be the target.
Brighton have struggled on their travels but a win over Nottingham Forest presents Liverpool with a difficult clash against the Seagulls at Anfield in mid-December.
Either side of Christmas, Liverpool take on Tottenham and Wolves with both teams struggling significantly for results on their own patch and away from home, respectively.
Chelsea's next five fixtures
Leeds United (A) - Wednesday, December 3
Bournemouth (A) - Saturday, December 6
Everton (H) - Saturday, December 13
Newcastle (A) - Saturday, December 20
Aston Villa (H) - Saturday, December 27
Verdict: Chelsea do not have the easiest run following their huge clash against Arsenal. Trips to Leeds United and Bournemouth are up next before a return to Stamford Bridge for the visit of Everton.
The Blues are back on their travels after that when they face Newcastle United before welcoming Aston Villa to west London between Christmas Day and 2026 commencing.
Manchester City's next five fixtures
Fulham (A) - Tuesday, December 2
Sunderland (H) - Saturday, December 6
Crystal Palace (A) - Sunday, December 14
West Ham (H) - Saturday, December 20
Nottingham Forest (A) - Saturday, December 27
Verdict: Manchester City have three away games over the next month as they face Fulham, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest. In between those trips elsewhere, Sunderland and West Ham United will visit Etihad Stadium.
Manchester United's next five fixtures
West Ham United (H) - Thursday, December 4
Wolves (A) - Monday, December 8
Bournemouth (H) - Monday, December 15
Aston Villa (A) - Sunday, December 21
Newcastle United (H) - Friday, December 26
Verdict: Losing just once in their last seven Premier League games has seen Man United rise up the table. Consistency over the coming weeks will play a role in them staying there with trips to Wolves and Aston Villa coming between three home games.
The latter kicks off against West Ham next Thursday before Amorim's side host Bournemouth and Newcastle United later in the month.
