Arsenal are set to be handed a huge fine by the Football Association (FA) after they were held to a scrappy draw by Chelsea. The north Londoners were unable to claim all three points despite having an extra man after Moises Caicedo was sent off in the first half. Trevoh Chalobah opened the scoring for the hosts before Mikel Merino headed home to ensure the spoils were shared.
The result saw Arsenal miss a golden chance to move seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table. To make matters worse, they picked up no less than six yellow cards as tempers flared at Stamford Bridge. Piero Hincapie, Cristhian Mosquera, Riccardo Calafiori, Martin Zubimendi, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Viktor Gyokeres all ended up in the referee's book.
As a result, the Gunners will be fined £25,000 by the FA, according to the Daily Mail. Under the current set of rules, teams are hit with a financial punishment if they receive six or more yellow cards in a single game.
