Liverpool grabbed a crucial victory over West Ham, putting an end to a dismal streak of three straight losses by a three-goal margin. Goals from Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo ensured Arne Slot's squad left the London Stadium with all three points, propelling them to eighth in the Premier League table.
Manchester City, Nottingham Forest and PSV had all triumphed over the champions - in November alone - but the month has ended on a high note. Surprise victories away from home by Brighton and Manchester United have kept Liverpool from cracking into the top six.
However, getting back into those European spots will be their immediate goal over the coming week or so, with promising fixtures against Sunderland and Leeds United up next. As they are, perhaps, well out of the title race, Liverpool will aim to surpass the points totals of Man City, Chelsea and arch rivals Man Utd throughout December.
