Ryan Dunn probable vs. Lakers as Suns’ injury report getting cleaner

Suns forward Ryan Dunn (right wrist sprain) is probable for Phoenix’s game at the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday after missing the last five games.

The likely return for Dunn, who has averaged 8.4 points and 4.9 rebounds in 16 games (11 starts) to begin his second season, will come as three other Suns came off the injury report.

Grayson Allen (quad contusion), Jordan Goodwin (ankle sprain) and Mark Williams (calf soreness) were all absent from the injury report after carrying designations into Phoenix’s game against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday.

Jalen Green remains out with the hamstring strain that’s now kept him out of 12 straight games. Two-way forward Isaiah Livers (right hip strain) was also ruled out.

Allen played 26 minutes in his return after missing more than two weeks due to the quad injury. He had 10 points and three assists on 4 of 11 shooting.

Goodwin played on Saturday despite his own injury designation and had eight points with two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 15 minutes. He appeared in all 15 November games with two starts.

Williams was questionable entering Saturday’s game and failed to play in a back-to-back for the first time as a Sun. However, it was not due to the same “right knee injury management” designation he had on the other missed back-to-backs.

The Suns are 1-3 when Williams doesn’t play and 11-6 when he does. He’s averaged 12.9 points (64.4% shooting) and 9.2 rebounds in 17 games.

The Lakers play the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday night. LeBron James (foot) was ruled out for that game, the front end of a back-to-back before L.A. hosts Phoenix. It was also the second straight missed game for Marcus Smart (back spasms).
