Jurgen Klopp is unlikely to return to Liverpool as Arne Slot’s successor as he remains committed to his post with Red Bull, The Telegraph journalist Sam Wallace has revealed.
The German tactician was linked with a surprise move back to Anfield amid Liverpool’s disappointing start to the season, with the Reds winning just seven of their first 13 Premier League games.
While Slot has managed to inject some positivity with a 2-0 win over West Ham at the weekend, it seems his position is safe for now, with Anfield chiefs not expected to make an immediate decision on the Dutchman, who replaced Klopp last year.
Klopp Unlikely to Make Liverpool Return

According to Wallace, Klopp remains committed to his role as Red Bull’s head of global soccer amid Liverpool return rumours:
“Klopp’s recent acknowledgement it was “theoretically” possible he could return to Liverpool was just that – nothing made you feel like he wanted it.
“Besides, he is said to be committed to Red Bull and has already played a role in a managerial dethroning.
“He was part of the decision to sack his former player, and friend, Marco Rose as RB Leipzig manager in March and select the permanent successor this summer.
“Of course, just because Klopp is unlikely to return, that does not mean Slot is immune from the sack.
“FSG are just as ruthless, even if they approach the problem in different ways.”
Klopp began work in his new role at Red Bull in January, six months after departing Liverpool at the end of the 2023/24 season.
The German tactician won eight trophies in nine years at Anfield, including the Premier League and the Champions League.
Liverpool End Losing Run
Cody Gakpo celebrating after scoring for Liverpool against West Ham United in the Premier League
Liverpool ended their three-game losing streak with a 2-0 win over West Ham on Sunday, which saw Mohamed Salah benched for the first time this Premier League campaign.
The Egyptian winger remained an unused substitute at the London Stadium as goals from Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo ensured three points for the visitors.
Isak netted his first league goal for Liverpool since his record £125m move from Newcastle, having gone goalless in his first five top-flight appearances prior.
Liverpool next host sixth-placed Sunderland at home on Wednesday, before travelling to struggling Leeds United on Saturday.

According to GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Fabrizio Romano, the French defender is wanted by several clubs in Europe and still has an offer to extend his Merseyside deal, which expires in June.
