Everton have a quick turnaround from the 4-1 defeat to Newcastle United as they take on Bournemouth on the south coast on Tuesday evening.
David Moyes’ side were completely outrun by Newcastle United on Saturday, with the distance covered statistics pretty damning.
Everton were dominated in the middle of the park, and Moyes suggested his team really missed Idrissa Gana Gueye.
But, the Toffees can put it right pretty quickly as they face Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium tomorrow night.
Quite worrying that…
Everton's last four results vs Bournemouth
Bournemouth 2-1 Everton (March 2024)
Everton 2-3 Bournemouth (August 2024)
Bournemouth 1-0 Everton (January 2025)
Everton 0-2 AFC Bournemouth (February 2025)
Ahead of the Premier League clash, Opta’s supercomputer has made its prediction.

Supercomputer predicts Everton to lose again vs Bournemouth
Everton are up against a Bournemouth side who have actually lost three of their last four Premier League games.
Andoni Iraola’s men suffered a 3-2 defeat to Sunderland on the weekend and have slipped into the bottom half of the table.

What a mental day…
But despite that, Opta’s supercomputer has Bournemouth as the heavy favourites to beat Everton tomorrow night.
The technology reckons there’s a 50.5% chance of the Cherries winning, with a draw at 26% and a Toffees win at 24.5%.
So, Everton aren’t really fancied to get anything on the south coast, and the history suggests that may well be the case.
Everton’s record at Bournemouth is atrocious
Everton have actually lost their last five away games against Bournemouth, dating back to September 2019.
And, what’s even more concerning is they’ve been comprehensively beaten in three of those games, so it doesn’t make for pretty reading.
15 Sep 2019 Bournemouth v Everton L 3-1 Premier League
08 Nov 2022 Bournemouth v Everton L 4-1 League Cup
12 Nov 2022 Bournemouth v Everton L 3-0 Premier League
30 Mar 2024 Bournemouth v Everton L 2-1 Premier League
04 Jan 2025 Bournemouth v Everton L 1-0 Premier League
Everton haven’t won at the Vitality since October 1985, when Howard Kendall was the manager. Gary Lineker and Kevin Richardson scored that day.
So, Moyes’ side will have to break a 40-year trend if they’re to get the three points against Iraola’s men on Tuesday.
